The Versmannkai is a section of the quay promenades along the former harbor basin in the Baakenhafen quarter. Large-format concrete slabs extend the existing quay edge. To enlarge the comfortably rideable area, a section of sawn granite paving follows, transitioning into rough, unworked paving. Along the new flood-protection wall, honey locust trees provide shade, while seating groups and large-format wooden furniture become meeting points. Former harbor cranes structure the long promenade as landmarks, recalling the site's former use.
