Auguste-Kent-Platz, München

Auguste-Kent-Platz is designed as an open neighborhood square for pedestrians. The level surface of the square ensures barrier-free access to the surrounding buildings as well as to the S-Bahn station. In addition to paved areas, islands of vegetation with perennials, meadows, and trees structure the space and contribute to its organization and ecological quality. Seating options in the form of enclosed planting areas and circular benches provide places to linger for various user groups. Overall, the result is a clearly structured, multifunctional square that connects to the adjacent uses and the urban environment.
